Radiohead’s In Rainbows zooms up 155 spots to claim the number album in the country. The album debuted at #156 last week, due to street date violations. In Rainbows claimed the number one spot by selling 122,000 copies.
Alicia Keys holds steady at number two with As I Am, selling 112,000 copies (which is a 42% sales decrease from last week). Mary J. Blige falls two spots to number three, selling 89,000 copies (which is a 56% sales decline).
The Now 26 compilation album holds steady at number four, selling 54,000 copies (a 45% sales decrease). Taylor Swift’s self-titled album moves up three spots to number five, selling 47,000 copies (however, this is a 39% sales decline from last week).
Chris Brown’s Exclusive falls one spot to number six, selling 41,000 copies (a 53% sales decrease). Garth Brooks’ The Ultimate Hits holds steady at number seven, selling 39,000 copies (which is a 50% sales decline).
The soundtrack to the film Juno debuts at number eight, selling 38,000 copies. The soundtrack was only available through digital retailers until yesterday, when the physical disc was released to stores; however, street date violations last week for the physical CD pushed the album onto the Billboard Top 200 a week early. Of the 38,000 copies of the soundtrack sold, digital retailers accounted for 99% of that total.
Colbie Caillat’s Coco moves up one spot to number nine, and selling only about 250 copies less than the Juno soundtrack. The Eagles’ Long Road Out of Eden falls four spots to number ten, selling 36,000 copies (which is a 58% sales decrease from last week).
This week’s sales are down 37.5% from last week to 9.06 million units. However, this week’s sales are only off 3.7% compared to the same week in 2007 (when 9.41 million units were sold).
