The Juno Soundtrack is #1 on the Billboard Top 200

The Juno soundtrack moves up one spot to claim the number one spot on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The soundtrack sold 65,000 copies, which is a 13% sales increase from last week. It’s the first film soundtrack to top the chart since Dreamgirls achieved that feat last year. It’s also the first time from an Academy Award best picture nominee since 1998, when the Titanic soundtrack topped the Billboard Top 200 chart.

Alicia Keys’ As I Am falls one spot to number two, selling 60,000 copies (this is only a 1% sales decrease). Natasha Bedingfield debuts at number three with Pocketful of Sunshine, selling 50,000 copies.

Mary J. Blige’s Growing Pains falls one spot to number four, selling 45,000 copies (this is a 12% sales decline from last week). Radiohead falls one spot to number five with In Rainbows, which sold 35,000 copies (which is a 24% sales decrease).

Taylor Swift’s self-titled album holds steady at number six, selling 35,000 copies (that is a 2% sales increase from last week). Chris Brown’s Exclusive moves up two spots to number seven, selling 32,000 copies (which is an 8% sales increase).

Keyshia Cole’s Just Like You re-enters the top ten by moving up four spots to number eight, selling 31,000 copies (a 21% sales increase from last week). Garth Brooks also re-enters the top ten with The Ultimate Hits, moving up five spots to number nine; the album sold 30,000 copies (which is a 21% sales increase). Miley Cyrus’ Hannah Montana 2 soundtrack / Meet Miley Cyrus album holds steady at number ten, selling 30,000 copies (which is a 9% sales increase from last week).

7.3 million units were sold this week, which is a 4.7% increase from last week.
