Barenaked Ladies Drop Out of Disney Concerts

The Barenaked Ladies have announced they have decided to drop out of Disney’s Music Block Party Tour, a series of concerts geared toward families with kids. It is believed that the band dropped out of the concert series after the recent arrest of singer-guitarist Steven Page on a cocaine charge.
Terry McBride, the band’s manager, posted on the band’s website that the “members of the band completely support Steven Page, but we don’t want to put Disney in an awkward position before issues involving Steven’s arrest are resolved.”
Page has pleaded not guilty and says he plans to “strongly contest” the charges.
