Nas Dethrones Lil’ Wayne on Billboard Top 200

Nas’ untitled album debuts at number one on the Billboard Top 200 album chart, selling 187,000 copies. Lil’ Wayne’s Tha Carter III falls one spot to number two, selling 105,000 copies (this is a 15% sales decrease from last week).
The soundtrack for Mamma Mia! moves up four spots to number three, selling 91,000 copies (this is a 89% sales boost). Coldplay’s Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends falls two spots to number four, selling 90,000 copies (this is a 20% sales decrease).
The Camp Rock soundtrack falls two spots to number five, selling 78,000 copies (this is a 12% sales decrease from last week). Kid Rock’s Rock N Roll Jesus falls one spot to number six, selling 73,000 copies (this is a 20% sales increase).
John Mellencamp’s Life Death Love and Freedom debuts at number seven, selling 56,000 copies. David Banner’s The Greatest Story Ever Told debuts at number eight, selling 52,000 copies.
Taylor Swift debuts at number nine with Beautiful Eyes, which is a Wal-Mart exclusive EP/DVD; the set sold 45,000 copies. Rihanna’s Good Girl Gone Bad falls two spots to number ten, selling 41,000 copies (this is a 12% sales decrease from last week).
This week’s sales (7.48 million units) are up 2.1% from last week, but are down 7.85% from the same week last year.
