Taylor Swift Debuts at Number One on the Billboard Top 200

This week, Taylor Swift debuts at number one on the Billboard Top 200 album chart with her newest album, Fearless. The album sold 592,000 copies in its opening week.
David Archuleta debuts at number two with his self-titled album, which sold 183,000 copies. The Now That’s What I Call Music! 29 compilation debuts at number three, selling 172,000 copies.
T-Pain debuts at number four with Thr33 Ringz, which sold 167,000 copies. The Twilight soundtrack album falls four spots to number five, selling 107,000 copies (this is a 35% sales decrease from last week).
AC/DC’s Black Ice falls four spots to number six, selling 105,000 copies (which is a 34% sales decline). The High School Musical 3 soundtrack album falls four spots to number seven, selling 94,000 copies (this is a 14% sales decrease from last week).
Enya debuts at number eight with And Winter Came, which sold 92,000 copies. Christina Aguilera debuts at number nine with Keeps Gettin’ Better, which sold 73,000 copies. T.I.’s Paper Trail falls three spots to number ten, selling 62,000 copies (this is a 10% sales decrease from last week).
This week’s sales (7.02 million units) are up 26.8% from last week, but are down 24% from the same week last year.
