Justin Bieber Debuts at Number One on the Billboard 200

Justin Bieber’s Believe Acoustic debuts at number one on the Billboard 200, for the chart dated February 16, 2013. The album sold 211,000 copies in its first week of release.

Andrea Bocelli’s Passione debuts at number two, selling 94,000 copies in its first week of release. Tegan and Sara’s Heartthrob debuts at number three, selling 49,000 copies in its first week of release.

Charlie Wilson’s Love, Charlie debuts at number four, selling 44,000 copies in its first week of release. The Pitch Perfect soundtrack falls two spots to number five, selling 37,000 copies; this is a 16% decrease in sales from last week.

Bruno Mars’ Unorthodox Jukebox moves back up two spots to number six, selling just under 37,000 copies (which is a 2% increase in sales). Mumford & Sons’ Babel falls one spot to number seven, selling 36,000 copies; this is a 6% decrease in sales from last week.

Gary Allan’s Set You Free falls seven spots to number eight, selling 34,000 copies (which is a 68% decline in sales). The Lumineers‘ self-titled album falls seven spots to number nine, selling 32,000 copies; this is a 34% decrease in sales from last week. Taylor Swift’s Red falls one spot to number ten, selling 29,000 copies (which is a 15% decrease in sales).

This week’s album sales (5.24 million copies) are up 7% compared to last week, but down 10% compared to the same week last year.
