Day26’s self-titled album debuts at number one on the Billboard Top 200 album chart, selling 190,000 copies. Day26 is the first male group to open at number since D12’s Devil’s Night album back in 2001. This is also the highest debut album by a group since Danity Kane’s first album debuted in 2006.
Panic at the Disco’s Pretty. Odd. debuts at number two, selling 139,000 copies. Counting Crows debut at number three with Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings, selling 106,000 copies.
Danity Kane’s Welcome to the Dollhouse falls three spots to number four, selling 89,000 copies (this is a 62% sales decrease from ast week). The NOW 27 compilation album falls three spots to number five, selling 67,000 copies (which is a 61% sales decline).
Rick Ross’ Trilla falls three spots to number six, selling 51,000 copies (which is a 43% sales decline). The Raconteurs’ Consolers of the Lonely debuts at number seven, selling 42,000 copies.
Jack Johnson’s Sleep Through the Static falls three spots to number eight, selling 37,000 copies (which is a 45% sales decrease from last week). Flo Rida’s Mail on Sunday falls five spots to number nine, selling 34,000 copies (which is a 61% sales decline). And Sara Bareilles’ Little Voice falls one spot to number ten, selling 31,000 copies (which is a 43% sales loss from last week).
This week’s album sales (7.71 million) are down 12.7% comapred to last week, and down 15.6% when compared to the same week in 2007.
