Song Review: Duran Duran – “Come Undone”

It was 20 years ago (gulp!) today that I graduated from high school. To commemorate this anniversary, I decided to share a music video for an alternative song that was big at the time. I ended up choosing “Come Undone” by Duran Duran.

“Come Undone” was the second single from the self-titled album they released in 1993 (which has also been referred to as “The Wedding Album,” since wedding pictures appear on the front cover). This is a song that grabbed me the very first time that I heard it. Musically, the song stood out from a lot of the other songs that were being released at the same time, and it stood out in a good way. The combination of the music and Simon LeBon’s delivery of the vocals grabs the listener’s attention and doesn’t let go.

Visually, I like the look of this video; unfortunately, I’ve never totally understood how the actual visuals go with the song. Oh well. The video is still really neat to look at.
